Hello, I'm Natasha
I am a registered clinical social worker and psychotherapist, with over a decade of experience working in private practice in Somerset West.
Clinical social work is a specialised field that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders, emotional and other behavioural disturbances in adults.
As part of my Master's degree, I completed my clinical internship at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital. I was based in Ward 15, a specialised unit dedicated to adult therapeutic intervention. My time there involved conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, managing individual cases, and facilitating group psychotherapy sessions. I worked closely within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and nursing staff to coordinate holistic and integrated patient care.
In my private practice I provide psychotherapy and support to individuals, families, and groups navigating a wide range of mental health challenges—including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, and personality disorders. I also work with clients facing stress-related issues and relationship difficulties.
My goal in therapy is to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
In addition to one-on-one and family therapy, I facilitate mindfulness and mental health workshops for organisations, businesses, and community groups. These workshops are designed to educate, raise awareness, and equip teams with practical tools to better support the mental health and wellbeing of their employees or members.
My practice is a LGBTQ+ affirming space, and my approach to therapy is grounded in respect, curiosity, and care.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is a profound and privileged one—something I hold with deep respect.
I invite you to spend some time with me.
Let's connect.
