Hello, I'm Natasha

I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, with over a decade of experience working in private practice in Somerset West.  Clinical social work is a specialised field that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders, emotional and other behavioural disturbances in adults.

As part of my Master's degree, I completed my clinical internship at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital.  I was based in Ward 15, a specialised unit dedicated to adult therapeutic intervention.  My time there involved conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, managing individual cases, and facilitating group psychotherapy sessions.  I worked closely within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and nursing staff to coordinate holistic and integrated patient care.

When insight becomes the beginning of change

Sometimes the greatest source of distress isn't a single event, it's the feeling that you keep living the same story.  The same self-doubt.  The same relationships.  The same ways of coping that no longer serve you.  You may know these patterns well, yet still feel unable to change them.

Meaningful change begins with understanding.  Therapy isn't about being told what to do or learning to think positively.  It's about making sense of the experiences that have shaped you, recognising the patterns that have kept you stuck, and creating the conditions for lasting change.  This process takes curiosity, honesty, and time, but it can also bring relief, clarity, and a different way of relating to yourself and others.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, personality-related challenges, or simply feel that something isn't quite right despite outwardly managing; therapy offers a place to explore your experiences without judgement.

My role is not to provide all the answers, but to help you discover the understanding and insight that make change possible.

My practice is a LGBTQ+ affirming space, and my approach to therapy is grounded in respect, curiosity, and care.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is a profound and privileged one—something I hold with deep respect.

I invite you to spend some time with me.
